Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to join our team as a Digital Manufacturing Specialist at our Andover Manufacturing Site. This site is comprised of many different manufacturing methods include CNC, Automation, Wash, and more. The role will be instrumental in driving the integration and implementation of Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and Smart Factory initiatives. Additionally, the role will assist in maintaining current software solution and driving new application use cases. The successful candidate will work closely with both local and global IT teams to develop, implement, and maintain cutting-edge technologies that enhance manufacturing operations, improve productivity, and enable data-driven decision-making.
This position will focus on the development and deployment of digitals solutions, involving automation, CNC Machinery, and real-time data analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that IIoT systems are seamlessly integrated into the manufacturing processes, while also providing continuous support for technology infrastructure, Cyber Security, industrial networking, and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead the implementation of Industry 4.0 and IIoT solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Performing Software Application Installation and Testing as well as ensuring minimum PC operating requirements are properly provisioned.
- Collaborate with Global and Local IT teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and software to the IT Network.
- Provide daily first level support to manufacturing employees with digital solutions in the manufacturing space.
- Communicate with Second (Local IT) are Third (Global) Level support teams to resolve major issues
- Manage and support the ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of IIoT devices, sensors, and connected equipment for various manufacturing processes
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making by ensuring real-time data collection, analysis, and reporting from manufacturing operations is readily available and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with internal teams to identify technology gaps and recommend solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and experience for the manufacturing employees.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal IT policies, and best cybersecurity practices across the entire manufacturing site.
- Conduct internal trainings to raise the technical aptitude of manufacturing employees.
Physical Attributes:
- May sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Utilize dexterity abilities to perform typing, operating a computer, wiring, and working with basic tools.
- Spend significant time reading both on paper and on a computer.
- Can lift up to 30 lbs
Work Environment:
- Can be General office environment or Manufacturing Shop Floor depending on the task
- Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, Shop Floor can be loud depending on the area
- Manufacturing area can be acidic or oily environment depending on the process
- Willing to travel internationally and domestic on occasion
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Work Experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 Years experience with manufacturing processes and digital systems to support operations.
- 3 years experience with manufacturing software & systems (e.g., plc machine controls, smart sensors, IIOT devices, digital workstation platforms, ERP systems, and system integration).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading, planning, and managing projects from concept through execution, successfully meeting timelines and budget expectations.
- Familiarity with computer networking principles, such as configuring network devices, managing IP addresses, and ensuring connectivity.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to network performance and server availability.
- A passion for learning and eager to build capabilities around the latest Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Driven, proactive, and adaptable.
- Familiarity or Advance Knowledge in
