Our client, a well-established and highly respected regional law firm, is looking to add an Employee Benefits and ERISA Partner to their team. Candidates can be located in Albany, Boston, Buffalo, New Haven, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse and Washington D.C.
Responsibilities:
- Represent sophisticated firm clients in all areas of employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plan design and compliance, sponsor and fiduciary risk management, benefit plan documentation, health and welfare benefit plans, ERISA claims and dispute resolution, governmental investigations and audits, and Affordable Care Act compliance.
- The ideal candidate will be able to practice independently and will be involved in the development and maintenance of client relationships.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- A portable and growing book of business is highly desired.
New York State salary range: $150,000 to $300,000. This salary range represents the firm’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base compensation for the position and does not include performance- or merit-based bonuses including variable compensation or other benefits offered by the firm. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, individual financial performance/contributions, skill set, and office location.
