About This Role
Strava is the leading social platform for athletes and the largest sports community in the world, with over 100 million athletes in 195 countries. If you sweat you’re an athlete, and Strava’s mobile apps and website connect millions of active people every day!
You will be responsible for two product engineering teams, Achieve and Explore. Achieve’s charter is to help active people achieve their athletic goals. They own features like our Progress and Training experiences, the Activity Page and Athlete Intelligence. Explore’s charter is to help our athletes explore the world around them. They own features like Routes, Segments and how our users interact with Maps.
This role is based in our San Francisco, CA office with a hybrid in-office work requirement of at least 3 days per week.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will :
- Lead two product engineering teams, inclusive of two engineering managers and mobile and server engineers
- Be responsible for launching features and novel experiences that bring increased value to our users
- Partner closely with product, design, analytics and other cross-functional partners to ensure the success of your teams
- Build an inclusive and impactful team culture within your team.
- Work closely with other engineering leaders on team-wide initiatives such as hiring, the intern program and career development
