Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions while providing strategic insights to drive business decisions. This person will work closely with the company’s CEO and Capital Market leader. They will have one direct report, with additional room for growth in management as the organization scales. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to optimize company performance and support growth initiatives. Previous experience in a financial services organization is highly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning and Analysis

•   Perform forecasting and budgeting

•   Perform in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and various ratio analysis

•   Prepare and publish KPI dashboards and trackers on various revenue and cost metrics

•   Prepare monthly board deck presentations

•   Coordinate with accounting team in monthly, quarterly and other financial reports

•   Create and maintain a cash usage model and forecast

•   Digitize processes from Excel reporting

Process Improvement

•  Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis methodologies

•  Lead the evaluation and implementation of FP&A software and tools

•  Standardize and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

Other

•  Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

•  5-8 years progressive experience in FP&A

Skills

•  Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills

•  Expert level proficiency in Excel and financial planning software

•  Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools

•  Proficiency with SQL
