What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Sales position at Streaming Talent?
Our client is a dynamic provider of big data and analytics technology. After a hugely successful 2024, they are looking to hire a VP Sales in San Mateo, CA (hybrid role).
Reporting into the CEO, this person will be responsible for managing and growing the entire US sales team. At present this is made up of 8 reps (new business and account management), and a revenue number of $85m. There will be additional headcounts from day one.

Responsibilities:
- Regional Sales Leadership: Overseeing all sales activities across the NAM region, driving growth, and expanding market share.
- Lead and coach a winning team of both new business 'hunters' and account managers responsbile for a revenue number of $85m .
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Defining and owning the sales strategy for the region. Develop and execute plans to capture new business, and increase customer retention.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with marketing, product, customer success, and other departments to maximize the impact of sales initiatives.
- Forecasting & Target Achievement: Leading the forecasting process for the region, ensuring predictable and consistent sales achievement.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of complex SaaS sales experience, ideally within the data/analytics realm.
- 2 years of sales leadership experience.
- Experience selling to and managing high performing sales teams that are selling to technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing both new business and account management sales reps.
- Ideally a background adopting MEDDIC or MEDDPICC sales methodology.
- To reiterate, this role is hybrid, and requires 2-3 days per week in my client's office in San Mateo.
