Construction Project Coordinator/Assistant - Mission Viejo, CA
Company Description:
A fast-growing general contracting/remodeling company has an immediate opening for a project coordinator/assistant. We are seeking a highly organized, well rounded, and self-motivated individual. This position will be based in Mission Viejo, with projects located throughout southern and central Orange County. Jobsite visits will be required.
Job Description:
The project coordinator will be a vital part of the administration team. Material take offs, scheduling, taking inventory, and client communication will make up large parts of this position. Experience with residential construction is required. Strong emphasis on organization. Must be able to navigate Excel and Word.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work under the supervision and direction of the projection manager/designer
- Participates in construction status meetings and gathers information
- Keeps detailed records regarding completion lists, material lists, and scheduling
- Assists the project manager/designer in scheduling of tasks, deliveries, inspections, deadlines, material selections, and permits.
- Develop processes and efficiencies for routine office management, such as, material ordering, maintaining project files, and updating material selections.
- Ensures required compliance information is collected and reviewed to set up vendors, consultants, and contractors in the construction management system.
- Inputs and maintains assigned items in the construction management system.
- Interface with clients, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Handle multiple complex tasks and have business and personnel management skills establish and manage priorities
- Ability to coordinate across both design and construction team members

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00/ year
Requirements:
- Two years of construction experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
