Summary of the Product Manager, CCBHC/State Reporting
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution of assigned product modules throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Implementation, Development, Sales, Marketing and Support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Working in the Compliance Services team, the Product Manager is responsible for being the subject matter expert for assigned compliance modules. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. In this role, this person will mainly focus on the CCBHC components of our SmartCare Product as well as state specific reporting requirements.
Job Functions of the Product Manager, CCBHC/State Reporting
Coordinate the design, development, and delivery of features supporting CCBHC or State compliance and functionality in the EMR platform
Serve as the primary subject matter expert on compliance certification standards, reporting requirements, and workflows
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for compliance-related features and workflows
Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with company goals and evolving compliance regulations
Act as the Product Owner in Agile/Scrum teams, writing and prioritizing user stories, refining backlog items, and ensuring team alignment.
Analyze business processes and translate complex requirements into functional and technical specifications
Work with development, QA, and UX teams to ensure deliverables meet requirements and user needs
Stay up-to-date with SAMHSA guidelines, state-specific guidelines, CCBHC criteria, and behavioral health trends
Coordinate with customer success teams to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction with assigned functionality
Provide training and documentation for internal teams and end-users on new features and enhancements
Create user guide and training documentation on the SmartCare Product modules assigned along with providing trainings as requested

Requirements of the Product Manager, CCBHC/State Reporting
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years in product management, product ownership, or business analysis, preferably in the healthcare or EMR software domain. Or 2 years in Behavioral Healthcare setting with direct work experience in a CCBHC organization or direct experience in a compliance or quality management role.
Direct experience with CCBHC standards, behavioral health reporting, or compliance requirements is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of EMR software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and user story creation
Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in documentation and presentations
Collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams and departments.
