LTL Logistics Coordinator
This role involves fostering and expanding positive relationships with clients by effectively coordinating their daily shipment requests via phone and email. The specialist will address issues confidently, proactively communicate discrepancies, and leverage an understanding of the shipping market, all while navigating our proprietary technology.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and respond to daily emails promptly and professionally
- Quote various shipping modes (expedited, full truckload, partial truckload, and LTL) in a timely manner, offering solutions based on client shipping patterns and needs
- Participate in daily bidding activities across multiple online portals
- Build, source, and schedule shipments with attention to detail and urgency
- Negotiate, dispatch, and assign carriers for customer shipments, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Track shipments, proactively addressing any issues between customers, carriers, and the sales team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and logistics needs
- Foster strong client relationships through regular updates and proactive support
- Collaborate daily with carriers, freight forwarders, and team members
- Assist the sales team in identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Provide professional communication through phone and email, maintaining high standards of etiquette
- Ability to multi-task and handle fast-paced situations while ensuring attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to plan, execute, and maintain accurate documentation
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage logistical challenges
- Verify customer pricing and ensure timely and accurate billing post-delivery
- Cross-train in other logistics functions as needed
- Actively participate in team meetings to promote collaboration, productivity, and efficiency
- Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based tools
