Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Consultant for a temporary consulting engagement to design, configure, and document a multisite Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) deployment using Cisco equipment. The consultant will also configure and optimize F5 Load Balancers as part of the project. The engagement involves three sites, each with dual ISP connectivity, ensuring a highly available and redundant network setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Planning
- Develop a comprehensive BGP deployment design for a multisite network with dual ISPs at each site.
- Plan the integration of F5 Load Balancers with BGP to optimize traffic flow and redundancy.
- Configuration and Implementation
- Configure Cisco networking equipment at all three sites in alignment with the approved design.
- Implement and optimize BGP routing for load balancing and failover scenarios.
- Configure and fine-tune F5 Load Balancers for application traffic distribution across sites.
- Conduct testing to validate configurations and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Documentation and Handover
- Produce detailed documentation for the network design, configurations, and operational guidelines.
- Provide a comprehensive handover report and conduct a knowledge transfer session for the in-house IT team.
- Support During Engagement
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues encountered during the implementation phase.
- Provide expert recommendations for optimizing network performance and reliability.
