Lettershop Helper
Full Time – 1st Shift 7 : 00 am – 3 : 30 pm Monday - Friday,
17.00 - $18.00

The Lettershop Sorter / Helper moves work-in-process and finished goods; packages finished goods as required; loads labels; and generally assists the Machine Operator as required during the job run. The Lettershop Sorter / Helper also learns how to do the finishing work of printed and laser materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand job tickets and customer instructions.Follow the sign-off procedure in a timely and accurate manner.Understand and proficiently execute the sign-off and Continuity pull process.Assist the machine operator in set-up / clean-up.Sort mail and finished products.Hand collate materials.Assist in cutting, folding, collating, stitching and binding of jobs when needed.Stack cartons, mail bags and trays on skids weighing up to 35lbs. in accordance with company and postal standards.Visually inspect the quality of product; report discrepancies immediately to the Machine Operator, Lead, or management.Operate strapper, hand tools, box maker, and other miscellaneous hand equipment.Feed equipment and catch product off the end of machines.Perform all tasks associated with the job assignment, which may vary in activity level.Schedule all outside activities around work schedule.Work overtime as needed.Inform leaders of any concerns that arise.Participate and support Continuous Improvement activities, along with participate in company-sponsored events during the work day.Participate in 6S / Lean manufacturing principles.Work in other areas as needed and / or complete other tasks as requested by management, supervisors or leaders.Other duties as assigned. Education and / or Experience
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.Previous experience setting up and operating Lettershop equipment is desired.Ability to sort and prepare mail while following USPS rules and guidelines.Language Skills
Ability to communicate verbally in EnglishAbility to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in EnglishExcellent communication skills – written, verbal, and listeningMathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to read and understand a ruler.Physical Demands
Standing for extensive periods of time.Bending, twisting and reaching on a consistent basis, for periods up to 12 hours per day.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to grasp bundles of material up to 4 inches thick repeatedly.Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus quickly.Work Environment
Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.Employee is frequently exposed to fumes and / or airborne particles.Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat while working next to driers.The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Streamworks is an equal opportunity employer.
