ATTENTION!!! ENGINEERS, QA, SAFETY and INSPECTORS WANTED!!!

Do you have Engineering experience? Are you interested in working for the Department of Energy in Richland, WA? In the past year, DOE Hanford has issued numerous Requests for Quote (RFQ) for professionals with QA, Safety, Inspector and Engineering experience that have gone unfilled.

We are looking for engineers with varied areas of nuclear experience: Safety, High Level Waste, Inspectors, QA, Start-up, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical. If you have experience in one of these areas, and are open to working with DOE in Richland, WA please review some of the qualifications below and submit your resume for review. Electrical, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Safety and Quality Engineers and Inspectors

Minimum qualifications:

Working knowledge of DOE policies and procedures.

· Senior level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities.

· Senior level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.

· Expert writing skills, proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.

· Excellent communications skills.

· Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and/or other MS Office tools.

Requirements

Environmental Compliance Engineer

Qualifications

· Education – BS/BA degree in engineering or physical science.

· Experience – Ten (10) years of relevant experience.

· Highly experienced in Environmental Compliance, regulatory implementation, and regulatory permitting/field oversight/inspection activities.

· Familiarity level knowledge of Safety and Health, Quality Assurance and Nuclear Safety related controls and requirements.

· Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding DOE environmental and regulatory oversight/program policies and procedures.

· Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.

· Expert writing skills, proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.

· Excellent verbal and communications skills. 

· A knowledge of Microsoft (MS) 365 Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS and/or other MS Office tools.

· Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities. (preferred)

· Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.

· Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen

Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical Engineers

Qualifications

• Education – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 8 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively.

• Experience – Fourteen (14) years of directly applicable experience as a senior executive or consultant interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, in government or industry on strategic, management, technical, or business issues. Professional career that demonstrates a steady progression of promotions and positions assuming greater responsibility.

Quality

Qualifications

Education   – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 8 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively.  

Experience   – Fourteen (14) years of directly applicable experience as a senior executive or consultant interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, in government or industry on strategic, management, technical, or business issues.   Professional career that demonstrates a steady progression of promotions and   positions assuming greater responsibility.    

Inspector

Qualifications

· Experience – Minimum of twenty (20) years of substantive experience and knowledge inspecting various construction activities, plus an additional 5 years of specialized experience performing construction site inspections on large and/or highly complex industrial federal nuclear and/or chemical processing facility construction projects.

o (Mechanical Site Inspectors only) Must meet the qualifications for Owner’s Inspector as define in ASME B31.3—i.e., not less than 10 years’ experience in the design, fabrication, or inspection of industrial pressure piping. Each 20% of satisfactorily completed work toward an engineering degree recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology shall be considered equivalent to 1 year of experience up to 5 years total; or be an AWS CWI or SCWI with 5 years of experience in the design, fabrication, or examination of industrial pressure piping. 

Nuclear Safety - High Level Waste

Requirements

· Education – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 4 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively

· Experience – Minimum (4) years, preferred (14) years of directly applicable experience in applying relevant theories, principles, and practices to tasks, problems, and issues.

Quality Assurance – High Level Waste

Requirements

· Education – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 8 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively

· Experience – Fourteen (14) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
