Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) is looking for competent/experienced coaches to lead activities using Street Soccer USA methodologies and assist the SSUSA Site Managers in after school and community soccer club programs in urban neighborhoods throughout NYC.
Street Soccer USA NY Head Coach
Reports to: NY Program Manager / Program Director
Position Summary:
The New York Head Coach is responsible for delivering a proper SSUSA soccer practices and games. They must make sure to arrive on a timely manner.
The Head Coach must attend the coaches trainings and complete any paperwork necessary to be cleared to work with any after-school partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing support and leading SSUSA practices
- Arriving in a timely fashion to each practice, adequately prepared for each session including, having a SSUSA skill chosen and an agenda to implement for each practice (as per the instructions of the Program Manager/Director).
- Staying at the pitch until each practice is completed.
- Arriving dressed in SSUSA attire and representing the program with a positive attitude and respect for program participants, program leaders, and co-coaches.
- Providing ample notice to the Program Manager/Director in order to find a substitute coach should his/her absence be necessary.
- Reporting to the SSUSA Program Manager/Director on a weekly basis with:
- an active inventory of SSUSA gear at the practice pitch;
- accurate tracking and logged attendance for each youth practice.
- Adhering to the SSUSA Coaches Training procedures, guidelines and curriculum including, but not limited to, the SSUSA coaching methodology and Child Safety Policy.
- Overseeing the care and storage of equipment stored.
- Check in weekly with Program Manager/director to confirm weekly program plans, which are subject to change at any time.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 year coaching experience preferred
- Must have First Aid, CPR Certification
- Completed SSUSA coaches progression
- Coaching certification preferred
- Understand all 8 of the Street Soccer Skills

Starting pay is $20 to $30 per hour depending on experience.
