What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship Coordinator position at Street Wise Arts?
Street Wise Arts seeks interns who are enthusiastic about the power of street art to join our team. Street Wise interns work both independently and with a small team during weekly virtual or in-person meetings. Our internships play an important role in our ecosystem and provide a unique opportunity for hands-on learning in our three program areas: Mural Festival, Education Programs, and Community Programs.
We customize the Internship experience for each person to maximum experience and benefits for growth and success.
Areas of need include:
- Marketing & Design
- Annual Events, including the Boulder Creek Festival and Street Wise Mural Festival
- Education & Youth Programs
- AR & Digital Media
- Business Development
Helpful skills and experience (not required):
- Upper-level undergraduate or graduate studies in a related discipline
- Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented
- Strong interest in or experience with public art, murals, street art, social justice, community engagement, activism, media
- Event coordination skills
- Social media skills
- Bilingual, multi-cultural
- Design skills
- Photography and/or video editing
- Personal art practice
Internship Details:
- Volunteer position (unpaid); school credit may be available depending on the institution.
- 5-10 hours per week with 1 hour per week of direct supervision with the Executive Director or Program Managers.
- Flexible remote and hybrid hours.
- Location: Our warehouse is located in Boulder at 2510 47th St. #G, although most work is done virtually outside of events.
Internship Dates:
Internships are approximately six months and run April through September.
