DESCRIPTION
Streetsense is seeking an Interior Architect with expertise in Multi Family and Hospitality projects to join our Interior Architecture team, Edit at Streetsense.
In this role you will be part of a design team focused on creating innovative concepts for multi-family, office and hospitality clients. You will be a self-directed participant in multiple aspects of the Interior Architecture process including, but not limited to the design & documentation of all phases of design and construction within established budgets, schedules, and programmatic requirements. You will be making independent decisions for projects and project teams while creatively executing multiple projects and liaising directly with lead designer, senior architect, clients and consultants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform within a design team in a self-directed manner in multiple aspects of the Interior Architecture process including but not limited to the design & documentation of all design phases, construction documents and construction administration activities within established budgets, schedules, and programmatic requirements.
- Collaborate within the team through several project types through all phases of the design process, construction, and construction administration.
- Realize all the instruments of service agreed upon in the contract to completely understand the scope and flag services requests not included.
- Serve as a primary contact for sub-consultants & AOR.
- Coordinate internal & external project set up activities and assignments
- High Proficiency in Revit for development of 3-dimensional models, documentation, and coordination
- Produce high-quality drawing and documentation sets that reduce rework, errors and omissions
- Produce fully coordinated sets of drawings and lead / mentor a team to do so.
- Hold an experienced understanding of building codes, zoning, and planning regulations.
- Review drawings regularly to ensure projects meet all relevant codes.
- Prepare workflow for junior team members and identify development opportunities
- Perform QA/QC on all deliverables prior to being presented to the client
- Oversee the development of the project along with the production of the construction documents and oversight of construction administration, while liaising directly with clientele and consultants.
- Coordinates building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with design intent
- Participate in construction administration, including review of RFIs, submittals, and site visits to ensure accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA or NAAB-accredited program
- 4-6 years of post-graduate professional experience, preferably within the Hospitality Industry
- Architectural License or NCIDQ certification preferred
- Advanced Proficiency and ability to train in Revit, BIM360, and Enscape
- Hand drafting/sketching skills
- Advanced Proficiency and ability to train in graphic and presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced Proficiency and ability to train in construction documentation production, project specifications, and shop drawing review
- Advanced Proficiency and ability to train in construction material and contractor specifications
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines to provide high quality service to clients
- Advanced knowledge of industry trends and applications
- Advanced experience with construction materials and Specifications
- Advanced knowledge of Life safety, Code, and MEP directly impacting Interiors
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed, motivated, collaborative, and professional
- Ability to contribute to and participate in a highly collaborative team environment

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
