The Mechanical Engineering Intern will interact directly with project managers to assist with planning and completion of project/client work as assigned. As a Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering Intern you will participate in projects involving failure analysis, test method development, design/process optimization, product development and cost reduction. This position will support the Medical Device, and Drug Delivery, and Consumer practices at Stress Engineering Services, Inc.
Responsibilities
A successful candidate will be focused on producing quality work that has been reviewed and validated for accuracy before sharing results with others. It is also necessary for the candidate to be able to work independently, while being able to identify where and when more experienced guidance is needed. The position requires a person with a strong cooperative spirit and ability and willingness to participate in small teams.
This position is onsite.
Qualifications
- Working toward a BS (2nd year ) or MS (preferred) degree Mechanical or Biomechanical Engineering.
- Hands on laboratory testing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamentals in first principle mechanics.
