Responsibilities
Apply expertise as a full diagnostic technician to complete complex automotive repairs
Diagnose & repair all categories : heating / cooling, electrical, brakes, steering, suspension, etc.
Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
Complete detailed preventative maintenance reports using digital visual inspections.
Maintain communication with the service department to keep customers informed.
Interface with customers to explain repair orders in detail, if needed
Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including protocols for hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
10-15 years prior experience working as a mechanic / technician in an automotive shop
Advanced automotive diagnostic skills
Valid driver's license & clean driving record
Have necessary set of tools to perform repairs & maintenance
ASE Certifications preferred but not required
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift and / or move over 50 pounds
Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
Walk / stand for the majority of the workday
Drive manual transmission vehicles
Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Efficiently navigate a computer
