Studio Manager

StretchLab of Elmhurst is seeking a dynamic person with a background in the fitness and wellness space to join our team.

StretchLab is the industry leader in offering one-on-one assisted stretching. StretchLab has created a variety of offerings to empower clients to ‘Live Long’. StretchLab prides itself on having the finest team of stretching professionals. StretchLab’s proprietary Flexologist™ Training Program (FTP) ensures that their clients receive a world-class stretching session.

Our Flexologists™ will provide one-on-one assisted stretches as well as lead guided group stretching classes for our clients.

This position is full time. It pays a salary based on experience plus bonuses for studio performance. If the studio does well, you will do well.

Job Duties:

Implement a Sales Process and Drive Membership Sales:

Develop and schedule leads into intro stretching appointments. “Lead to First Visit” (LTV)

Follow-up after initial stretch and convert to Members. “Appointment to Membership” (ATM)

Monitor daily, daily, weekly and monthly all key performance indicators “KPI’s” (LTV, ATM, etc)

Set and reach daily, weekly, and monthly goals (leads, LTAs, ATMs)

Review and develop best practices when and where needed to ensure KPIs are at or above minimum levels.

Plan and staff grassroots events and pop-ups in the community.

Retain Current Members:

Reduce attrition. Review, develop and maintain best practices for low attrition.

Develop and maintain a strong, genuine, and caring relationship with the membership.

Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently provided.

Actively engage and interact with Members through outreach and events.

Vigilant monitoring and prompt response to all emails, voicemails, missed calls, and texts.

Professional resolution of past due accounts, complaints.

Supervise Employees:

Hire and train all staff members to meet the current and future needs of the studio.

"Coach up" staff to meet performance goals and job expectations.

Ensure adequate coverage of Flexologists.

Ensure adequate coverage of the front desk and sales staff.

Monitor Quality assurance and direct the Lead Flexologist as appropriate.

Maintain an upbeat and professional environment.

Communicate and educate on a regular basis.

Encourage and lead by example.

Foster a sense of teamwork amongst the employees.

Manage employee schedules and optimize schedule to meet customer demand.

Organize and host monthly Studio employee meetings.

Provide quarterly and timely performance reviews.

Organize quarterly employee outings off site.

Maintain a Professional Studio:

Order, organize and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.

Ensure the studio is immaculately clean and presented.

Keep the retail area stocked and properly merchandised.

Organize retail inventory and ensure enough on-hand product is available for sale.

Meeting Rhythms:

Daily conversation with the owner (short, and regarding any material news).

Weekly meeting with Lead Flex (short, and regarding applicable, goals, KPIs and staff issues)

Monthly meeting with owner (1 hour, usually near end of the month to review prior month and plan for following month)

Watch live, or review later, all appropriate corporate sales and marketing webinars (usually 1-3 a month)

Retail:

Keep retail displays looking fresh.

Manage inventory levels.

Make product recommendations for purchase.

Qualifications:

• Strong sales ability.
• Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy.
• Self-directed, self-motivated, self-reliant.
• Ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff.
• Ability to go out and establish partnerships, pop-ups, and represent the brand.
• Passion for stretching, flexibility and mobility.
• Preferred: A degree in an applicable field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology etc) or a license (LMT, PTA erc) or certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, RYT, etc)
• Preferred: Experience working in a fitness/health environment.
• Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people.
• Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals.
• Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable, and adhere to our attendance policies.
