Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for gathering appropriate information to properly fill out blister packs for patient’s prescriptions.
- Secures protected health information and required paperwork to comply with regulatory requirements. Ensures the department abides by OSHA, HIPAA and other regulations pertaining to the company standards.
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas according to company standards.
- Maintains sufficient prescription inventory levels when ordering products for the pharmacy.
- Receives and stores incoming products and supplies including counting, stocking, and entering computer data.
- Assist with coffee bar register transactions and customer service as needed.
- Required to attend and complete any mandatory training and events.
- Performs other miscellaneous activities as requested.
- Maintains accurate records of medication dispensed to patients.
- Interacts with co-workers and pharmacists to resolve any discrepancies and to improve processes.
Requirement of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services - Pharmacy Examining Board
Age and Education – Applicant satisfies one of the following:
-The applicant is at least 18 years of age and has graduated from high school or has attained high school graduation equivalence as determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
-The applicant is enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program for pharmacy technicians that is on the list of youth apprenticeship programs approved by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) under Wis. Stat. § 106.132m).

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and service.
