Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our retail environment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective time management, and a solid understanding of retail math and market trends. The Assistant Manager will assist in training and developing staff while managing inventory and stock levels to optimize store performance.

Duties

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data, manage stock levels, and forecast inventory needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions and manage cash flow.
• Train, develop, and motivate team members to achieve individual and store goals.
• Implement effective time management strategies to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Monitor team performance, providing feedback and guidance to enhance productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that promotes a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on marketing strategies to drive sales and enhance customer engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in an Assistant Manager role or similar position.
• Strong understanding of retail math principles and ability to analyze sales data effectively.
• Proficiency with POS systems and other retail technology.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to sell products while providing exceptional customer service.
• Experience in training development and team management is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
