Customer Quotation Specialist
Job Summary:
The Customer Quotation Specialist is responsible for processing, tracking and communicating quoting opportunities for any new or existing clients. This position is accountable for providing quotes to Account Managers by utilizing business knowledge and accurate, reasonable technical knowledge
The Customer Quotation Specialist interprets client and Sales Reps requirements and offers solutions that maximize profitability and add value for the customer.
Coordinates with Account Manager and Production team to determine and/or clarify quote requirements to ensure quality output.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Determines quotation requirements by reviewing and discussing project details with Account Manager and Production Team.
· Provides accurate account information referring to client account billing details
· Generates QUOTATION, using specified requirements and product knowledge.
· Verifies Account Managers understanding of quote by explaining items and charges.
· Strives for a 15% gross profit and ensure compliance with equipment and material pricing.
· Works with procurement and shipping to receive additional details as needed for specific delivery and cost requirements.
· Coordinates receipt of all required information for the preparation of final quote.
· Follows up on outstanding quotes to secure client, improve quote process and measure effectiveness.
· Maintains the highest quality of customer service during calls, dealing tactfully to resolve complaints, compliments, and inquiries, while following the appropriate company procedures.
· Ensures continual improvement of Quote process.
· Prepares weekly reports for Management using daily updated Quote airtable/excel.
· Be aware of all areas of possible loss due to carelessness, inaccuracies.
· Maintain compliance with established Company policies and standards.
· Improves quality results by recommending processing changes.
· Any other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
· 3 year’s experience working in an inside sales support environment
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office especially word and excel.
· Self-motivated individual who can work both independently and part of a team.
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced industry.
· Enjoys researching and problem solving.
· Ability to provide outstanding customer service
