What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nurse position at Strictly Pediatrics Center?
Strictly Pediatrics Center is a Medical Day Program which provides nursing care, therapy services and developmental services to medically complex children under the age of 6 . We are the only one of it's kind in Missouri and have been in existence for almost 30 years.
Our nurses love working 4 ten hour shifts per week while having their weekends and holidays off to spend time with family and friends.
Each staff member is responsible for providing care to 4 pediatric patients under the age of 6. Our Full time Nurses work 10 hours per day, four days per week and our Part Time Nurses work 20-30 hours per week. We are open 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are closed weekends and most holidays. We are currently looking for a full time Pediatric RN /LPNfor our Maryland Heights location who has experience working with children in a hospital , clinic, or school setting.
Our skilled pediatric nurses provide medical care under the orders of a physician, work with therapists to develop realistic goals for their patients, provide teaching and resources to the families, and provide a holistic approach for successful outcomes for their patients.
Pay is relative to education and experience. We will train if pediatric experience is limited and candidate has worked with children in other settings.
Requirements:
- Valid and unencumbered R.N. license in the state of Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatrics or have worked in a childcare setting
- Must pass a background screening
- Must be able to lift without restrictions and be able to get up and down off the floor
-Must have a physical and TB test
- Must have transportation
- Must be CPR certified
- Must take Clock hours per the state
- Must pass a skills test
