The Operations Specialist II is responsible for efficient workflow throughout the Operations department. Maintains high-level working knowledge and ability to provide coverage on select desks within the department.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for making internal entries on a daily basis.
- Corresponds in a friendly and professional manner with customers and vendors.
- Researches and follows through with requests for offsetting entries with all correspondent banks in a timely manner.
- Assists with information gathering for both internal and external routine audits and examinations.
- Processes state and federal verification requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCTATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
- 3-5 years' experience in a bank operations role, required.
- Operations-related certification, such as NCP certification, preferred.
- Experience with Jack Henry products, preferred.
- General knowledge of basic banking principles.
- Ability to comprehend banking transactions, workflows and processing requirements.
- Knowledge of all parts of a check, fraudulent checks, BSA/AML regulations, Reg CC and cybercrime.
- Independent critical reasoning.
- Meticulous data entry accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Experience using office equipment and software programs, such as Microsoft Office, and financial services databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting established deadlines.
