What will you be doing in this role? A successful candidate will:
General Purpose: This licensed psychologist position provides clinical mental health services to patients in our highly integrated primary care setting. Psychologist Behavioral Health Providers (BHPs) work collaboratively with primary care and dental providers to reduce barriers to mental health care; much of the day is spent providing psychoeducation and brief therapeutic services in the medical exam room. BHPs carry a small caseload of patients for therapy services and are involved in group health visits for medical conditions like hypertension and diabetes. This position is entirely clinical in nature and responsibility.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Deliver brief clinical interventions and assessments to STRIDEs diverse patient population in an integrated primary care setting, including screening for behavioral health disorders, substance use concerns, stress and interference with medical regimen and providing therapy when indicated.
- Provide culturally sensitive mental health care to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Contribute as a member of multidisciplinary teams (comprised of medical, dental, care coordination, health education and behavioral health providers) in delivering behavioral health services to STRIDEs patients.
- Collaborate in developing innovative service line approaches.
- Interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts.
- Provide clinical supervision and oversight to STRIDEs psychology training program, as appropriate and indicated.
- Serve as expert consultant to care team and behavioral health team given advanced training and knowledge of clinical psychology.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skill and ability:
- Work independently and organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency, including the ability to drive between clinics to provide services.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data to determine the appropriate services needed for patients.
- Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Ability to complete clinical documentation within 72 hours of encounter.
- Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of patient, employee and business information.
Education or Formal Training:
Completion of APA-accredited, or equivalent, doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology.
Other Requirements:
- Colorado Licensed Psychologist in active and good standing.
Experience:
- Preferred experience working in health psychology or integrated care settings.
- Preferred experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Preferred experience working with individuals throughout the lifespan.

Competitive Compensation:
Annual salary range: $90,000–$125,000, based on experience.
Please note, the pay range listed for this position is a scale. Pay will be calculated based on years of experience since licensing and/or related to the specific qualifications of the role.

Schedule: Full-time position (1.0 FTE); accepting less than 1.0 FTE applications but looking for a 1.0 FTE at this time.
- 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
- M-F 8:30-4:30
