The Scrum Master is a key member of the Stride Tutoring Team and is responsible for the timely and effective delivery of software requirements from various business contexts. Provide solutions and ideas to create a more effective scrum team. Use leadership, communication, technical, and organization skills to effectively coach the scrum team on Agile best practices, remove impediments, enhance collaboration, and ensure that the team delivers high quality working software to the customer. Successful candidates will be comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders and engineering team members to build creative solutions.

- Guide one or more Scrum teams in Agile best practices, ensuring smooth delivery
- Facilitate the creation of a self-organized, self-managed team that can identify and deliver the work that can be completed in a time-boxed iteration
- Lead all project ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Planning, Review, Retrospective, Backlog Grooming, etc.)
- Participate in requirements and design discussions with project stakeholders
- Support release management and deployments
- Facilitate medium-to-high complexity Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning
- Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet stakeholders' needs and expectations
- Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, medium-to-high complexity team problem-solving and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges; has the authority to execute against new approaches and escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
- Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment;
- Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues
- Facilitate and engage in technical conversations across platforms
- Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; Report team progress and accomplishment up and across; Facilitate status updates, product demos and retrospectives;
- Participates in long-range planning and development of application or product roadmaps with Product Owners
- Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress
- Maintains process documentation
- Ensure development and QA teams are practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
- Assists the Product Owner with backlog maintenance, and internal and external communications; Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs
- Assist in breaking down large epics into smaller, technically feasible user stories.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years' technology experience;
Certificates and Licenses: Certified Agile SaFe Scrum Master
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate findings and concepts that support the problem you are trying to solve
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Scrum methodology
- Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Continuous improvement experience
- Experience working with technical teams (developers, testers, DevOps, architects, cloud engineers).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
- Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential
- Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
- Proficiency with project software
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
- Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
- We anticipate the salary range to be $66,379.50- $170,037.60. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
