Position Objectives:
As a Bilingual Medical Assistant (fluent Spanish) in our endocrinology clinic in Lauderdale Lakes, FL, you’ll be an essential member of our care team, supporting providers and ensuring a seamless, positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Welcome patients, record vital signs, medical history, and relevant information.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during exams, procedures, and blood draws; maintain clean, organized exam rooms.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate, up-to-date entries in EMR systems.
- Patient Education: Share diagnosis and treatment instructions, and provide educational resources.
- Appointment Coordination: Manage follow-ups, referrals, and scheduling.
- Laboratory Assistance: Perform lab tests, prepare specimens, and manage results.
- Inventory Management: Maintain clinic supplies and equipment.
- Patient Communication: Address patient inquiries, lab results, and care plans under physician supervision.
- Team Collaboration: Work with the medical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a medical office; endocrinology experience a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, proficiency in EMR systems (eClinicalWorks/Athena preferred).
- Language: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (required).
