An motivated individual who has the passion to learn and grow to help us to the next level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and preparing bids for key construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with our team members, clients and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks.
- Meet daily deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to drive projects forward without oversight.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring all relevant information is included and deadlines are met.
- Analyze blue prints, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy of estimate. With the knowledge of City and MUTCD requirements.
- Work closely with Estimating Lead, Project Managers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and correspondence related to projects.
- Present estimates and bids to management and clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates.
- Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working independently in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- This position is work from home. Applicant must be a self starter and motivator to meet daily deadlines without oversight
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Willing to train the right associate.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using estimating principles
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations is an asset.
