Elementary Reading & Math Tutor

Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Reading & Math Tutor. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of teaching experience in a school and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one reading and/or math instruction to students of various ages and skill levels.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to develop personalized learning plans for each student.
• Assess students' reading and math abilities and create tailored lesson plans to address their specific needs and challenges.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment to enhance students' confidence and motivation.
• Track and report on students' Quarterly Progress Reports, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents and teachers to provide feedback on students' performance and progress.
• Stay current on best practices in instruction and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school is required.
• Strong knowledge of various reading assessments and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent tutoring schedule.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 per hour
