POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Behavior Line Staff provides one-on-one support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities. If you enjoy thinking outside of the box and implementing creative solutions to help individuals achieve their goals, this job is the perfect fit. You will have scheduling flexibility, setting up one on one meetings and events for the individuals on your case load. The Behavior Line Staff strives to assure the health and safety of persons served, and the community, while also encouraging them to use skill acquisition to foster growth and independence.
JOB FUNCTIONS:

· BEHAVIOR SERVICES AND SUPPORTS. Responds to and documents behavioral challenges/concerns in accordance with established behavior support plans and STRIVE policies and procedures. Implements and documents behavior support plans, Safety Control plans and Suspensions of Rights as written. Assists individuals in learning to respond to problems and resolve disagreements in a productive manner. Models implementation of Behavior Support Plans for residential and vocational staff, when necessary.
· Assisting in behavioral coaching to a specific assigned individual that will enable him/her to reach his/her fullest potential and improve behavior, social and functional skills.
· Assist in working with the individual as outlined in the client’s Behavior Support Plan
· Implement specific teaching and coaching strategies utilizing the behavior support plan to focus on skill acquisition in all areas as well as the reduction of problematic and interfering behaviors. Provide safe and continuous support in the home, work and/or community.
· Provide and teach functional communication, implement approved behavior plans, and achieve increased independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community.
· Provide extensions of other forms of support deemed appropriate by the Behavior Specialist and/or direct supervisor of the team.
· Ability to understand and implement a variety of Behavior Support Plans per each client’s outcomes and goals.
· Ability to complete data on a daily basis and in line with the expectations of the team, ensure proper completion of ISP notes daily.
· Ability to attend, assist and engage during monthly, quarterly, etc. team meetings.
· Ability to transport clients in personal vehicle each shift as deemed appropriate to the BSP/ISP goals.
· STAFF SUPPORT AND TRAINING. Provides onsite training and consultation to direct support professionals in facilitation of support plans. Participates in training new employees during core competency training. Participates in revision of training modules and facilitating ongoing employee training as needed.
· POLICIES/REGULATIONS. Maintains knowledge of STRIVE policies, regulatory requirements and licensing standards and assures program compliance with these regulations.
· OTHER DUTIES. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
· 21 years of age
· High School Graduate or GED
· Valid driver’s license and driving record which meets STRIVE standards.
· Satisfactory results from CBI screening and reference checks per guidelines.
· Successful completion of core competency training including the following:
· Demonstrated competency in CPI & CPR
· CPI-Must demonstrate competency in personal safety techniques and team control.
· CPR-Must is able to perform each skill area correctly without guidance.
· First Aid
Billing: Billing expectation is 80% and above.
Work Environment: Job functions are generally performed in an office environment but include regular visits to residential and vocational program sites. Driving is required on a regular or frequent basis.
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate office equipment including, but not limited to, telephone, computer, fax, and copy machine. Ability to visit client residences and work sites.
