When it comes to project planning, you can self-manage along timelines and hold yourself accountable to the team, communicating when you need support. While comfortable working independently, you’re also a team player who can jump in and support others when needed and both welcome and give feedback to others.

About the position
Reporting to the Director of Brand Management, the Production Design Specialist supports the design and production of collateral and visual content. This role calls for a production creative to help execute the organization’s brand story and visual standards through a variety of digital and print formats. Upholding brand standards, they will create or update existing materials, graphics and presentations across a variety of communications for key audiences, including in-house/cross-departmental support, investors, the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network and the broader social impact field.
Responsibilities and duties
Creative Revision and Design (70-80%)
- Update existing creative assets and develop new designs (including but not limited to brochures, reports, longform publications, infographics, social media assets, advertisements, PowerPoint presentations and event collateral) that align with brand standards and audience needs
- Transform complex ideas, content and data into clear, compelling visuals and infographics
- Adapt existing designs for different formats, platforms, and campaigns
- Ensure all creative assets meet WCAG AA accessibility guidelines
- Implement feedback to enhance visual impact and clarity
- Maintain an organized library of design files for easy access and updates
Project Management (20-30%)
- Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery
- Organize tasks and prioritize deadlines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for feedback and approvals
- Track timelines, adjust as needed, and maintain version control
- Communicate project updates and flag risks
- Optimize workflows and improve processes
- Collaborate with vendors and ensure production quality
- Deliver on-time and accurate creative

Qualifications and skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in production design, or similar creative experience
- Experience creating print-ready files, designing infographics and working within brand standards
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
- Strong expertise in InDesign layout and production design
- Skilled in developing interactive PDFs
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent communication skills — interpersonal, oral and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative, follow through, meet deadlines, and solicit and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders[MCW11]
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced and energetic environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Two to four years production design experience
- Experience with digital asset management systems

Location and Work Requirements
- Ability to effectively use remote work technology, including Slack, Zoom and other technology
- Up to 20% travel required
- This role can be fully remote or based out of StriveTogether’s downtown Cincinnati headquarters.
- Cincinnati employees have a hybrid work schedule and come into the office three times per week, with days chosen based on the needs of the role and team member preferences. The dog-friendly office features company-paid parking, a rooftop deck, and snacks and beverages.
- Fully remote team members have access to DeskPass for community desk and meeting room options.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $62,000 – $72,000. The salary range accounts for Cincinnati-similar geographic regions and may be adjusted based on the cost of labor of the geographic market.
StriveTogether also provides competitive benefits and professional development opportunities including:
- 15 days paid time off with an additional four personal days, eleven holidays and a five-day break at the end of the year. PTO increases to twenty days after five years and staff members can apply for sabbatical in their seventh year of employment.
