Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
Purpose: Responsible for ensuring STROCO acquires needed supplies, materials and other relevant items, following a strict budget and keeping records of all transactions.
Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services that meet the quantity and quality expectations
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents
- Track inventory and restock goods when needed
- Source for new parts, suppliers or contractors when applicable
- Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong MS Word and Excel experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Multi-task and take on new projects in a fast-paced environment
- Work with minimal supervision
- English language both written and verbal
Education/Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a purchasing environment
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of an ERP system
Preferred:
- 2-4 years’ experience in purchasing, manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Technical aviation/aerospace experience

- Lift and carry weight up to approximately 20 pounds
