JOB SUMMARY
Maintenance Technician Apprentice benefits from on-the-job training by working alongside established Maintenance Technicians to learn the skills to perform routine and preventative maintenance on CNC Machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Clean up after Maintenance Technician II’s and III’s finished projects.
- Work with Maintenance Technician IIs and IIIs to learn the best practices for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with CNC machines and equipment.
- Ensure that CNC machines and equipment meet safety standards and regulations.
- Fill CNC machines with coolant and oil to appropriate levels.
- Ensure all filters on equipment in the building are changed.
- Maintain and repair the building and all equipment inside it, including air conditioners, fans, lighting, painted shop lines, forklifts, cleaning equipment, etc.
- Perform work on and with aerial lifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Strong interest in industrial maintenance, machine tools, electrical wiring, diagnosing mechanical issues, welding, and building maintenance.
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to use various hand tools effectively and safely, including measuring tools, wrenches, files, and different tools associated with maintenance/repair work.
- Willing to enroll in an apprenticeship program within six months.
- Must be eighteen (18) years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled or will enroll in apprenticeship training.
- Experience working with CNC machinery.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safety protocols.
