What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control Technician position at Strong Pest Control?
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations and implement effective treatment plans. You will use a combination of chemical, mechanical, and biological methods to eliminate pests while ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect Properties: Conduct thorough inspections of properties to detect pest infestations and potential entry points.
- Identify & Assess: Determine the type and severity of pest problems and recommend appropriate treatment options.
- Implement Treatments: Mix, handle, and apply pesticides and other control measures safely and effectively.
- Preventive Measures: Advise customers on preventive practices and additional services to minimize future infestations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and customer communications.
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure service vehicles and equipment are well-maintained, stocked, and organized.
- Customer Service: Respond promptly to service calls and address customer inquiries or concerns professionally
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training in pest control is a plus.
- Valid pest control license in Pennsylvania (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of pest control or related field experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
