The Scrubgrass Energy Services plant is located in Kennerdell, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
The 85 megawatt facility is designed to convert the bituminous mining refuse (GOB) left over from decades of coal mining in the region into energy. Employing state-of-the art circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology, the facility is able to efficiently burn low BTU refuse in an environmentally safe and beneficial manner.
As a Shift Supervisor, your role involves overseeing plant operators to ensure peak performance, safety, and efficiency. This includes administering lockout / tagout procedures, responding to alarms, and managing shutdown / startup processes. You'll supervise inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the handling of hazardous materials. Additionally, your responsibilities encompass personnel management, including training, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, and maintaining a secure work environment.
