Community Relations and Events Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to join our team as a Community Relations and Events Manager. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and execute community-focused events while strengthening engagement through strategic social media communications.
Job Description: As the Community Relations and Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering community connections and elevating the property’s brand presence through carefully curated events and communications. This role requires a dedicated professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure the seamless execution of events and social media initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute community-based events, such as art shows, flea markets, musical performances, and more, to attract and engage diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with event partners and ensure alignment with the property’s aesthetic and core values.
- Source and coordinate event vendors and sponsors, including agreements, guidelines, site plans, and fee collection.
- Drive attendance through scheduled marketing collateral and social media efforts.
- Obtain necessary permits and adhere to all regulations, codes, and organizational bylaws.
- Supervise day-of event operations and manage performance analysis for continuous improvement.
- Work with the accounting team to generate and adjust annual budgets as needed.
- Coordinate and promote tenant-hosted events, while also communicating important updates to tenants regarding event impacts.
- Update the property website and develop outreach strategies for new projects.
- Manage regular eblasts, press releases, and media communication to promote events.
- Develop partnerships with sponsors that complement the events and the property’s mission.
- Maintain clear communication with tenants, civic leaders, government departments, and stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong organizational, writing, and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities with a sense of humor and positivity.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- Community Relations: 2 years (Required)
- Event Coordination: 2 years (Required)
- Social Media: 2 years (Required)
