Unarmed Security Officer – Part-Time - Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Unarmed Security Officers to join our team on a Part-Time basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role primarily involves providing security for private buildings and structures. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military service, and will be responsible for maintaining security for private entities.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly and effectively.
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports and daily logs.
- Enforce company policies and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Operate and maintain security equipment and firearms in accordance with company guidelines and legal requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred. Proven experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle a physical workload, stand for extended periods, patrol assigned areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Licensing and Equipment: Valid Drivers License.
- Background Requirements: Must have no criminal history and be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Weather Adaptability: Ability to work outdoors and endure inclement weather conditions.
- Skills: Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $16-$18per hour.
- Schedule: Part-Time 2-3 shifts per week
