StrongMind is seeking our newest Product Manager. In this role, you will play a key role in creating product strategy and providing leadership to deliver a finished product. You will constantly seek to understand customers' perspective, are business savvy, and have a bias toward data-driven action. You will work with stakeholders across the organization to identify needs, provide proactive communication to ensure transparency, and provide an articulation of the business needs. This includes daily collaboration daily with Engineers, Account Managers, Designers, Teachers, Administrators, and other members of the Product team.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Create and prioritize the product backlog aligned to StrongMind’s vision and goals
  • Act as the expert of your product so you can answer questions swiftly and decisively
  • Serve as “voice of the customer” with delivery teams, representing the customer’s perspective throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Work closely with UI/UX designer on product design and experience
  • Be influential and collaborative in finding the best solution with team members
  • Find the true root cause of a request/issue and elicit requirements from users of varying technology levels
  • Ability to lead a team on product direction and meeting outcome based goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and agile teams to decompose features into epics and user stories that can be understood and approved by the agile team
  • Lead grooming sessions with your team to refine the product backlog
  • Build trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Collaborate with Development Manger to improve the agile process of the team

 Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in an agile environment
  • Shipped at least one mission-critical application in the last 2 years
  • Experience with mobile applications is beneficial, but not required
  • Experience in Education industry is beneficial, but not required
