Job Title: Multicultural Event Planner (MCEP)
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with knowledge of several types of cultural wedding ceremonies, including South Asian, Christian, Non-denominational, LGBTQ , and others as requested by Stroudsmoor Clients. The MCEP must have a proven ability to create exceptional events, particularly multi and intercultural celebrations. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from initial client consultations, to conversion, planning preparation, and on-site execution, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for our clients and their guests.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from initial client consultations, to conversion, planning preparation, and on-site execution, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for our clients and their guests.
Responsibilities
- Client Communication & Relationship Management:
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with clients throughout the planning process.
- Build strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure a positive and collaborative experience.
- Provides information and insight into the many elements and services offered by the Stroudsmoor.
- Supports other members of the Event Team including but not limited to the Bridal Registry, the Bridal Spa/Studio, Group Lodging, and the Floral and Décor Team.
- Conducts event facility tours.
- Event Planning & Design:
- Develop event concepts and timelines that reflect the client's vision and cultural traditions.
- Research and select venues, food and beverage options, and vendors that meet the client's needs and budget.
- Create detailed event plans, including seating charts, floor plans, and vendor schedules.
- Design and source decorations, linens, and other event materials that align with the event theme and style.
- Vendor Management:
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, including florists, photographers, and entertainment providers.
- Oversee vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that the event stays within the allocated budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining event quality and standards.
- On-Site Coordination:
- Coordinate services across Stroudsmoor Departments to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee event setup and execution, ensuring that all details are in place and that the event runs smoothly.
- Manage event flow, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise on the day of the event.
- Cultural Sensitivity:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of wedding traditions and customs across cultures, especially South Asian with an emphasis on Hindu celebrations.
- Work with clients to incorporate cultural elements into their events that are meaningful and authentic.
- Post-Event Follow-Up:
- Gather feedback from clients and vendors to identify areas for improvement.
- Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Request and receive five-star reviews on platforms including but not limited too; Wedding Wire, The Knot, Zola, Google and others to demonstrate our expertise in wedding planning.
- Proven experience in event planning, with a focus on multicultural events preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of varied wedding traditions and customs.
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
