Struction Solutions, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented andcreative Associate Interior Designer to support our interior design team inplanning, designing, and implementing interior spaces. This role involvesassisting with space planning, furniture and equipment selection, and ensuringcompliance with safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards. The idealcandidate will have strong design skills, technical knowledge, and experienceworking on educational or institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Interior Designer in evaluating furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) needs, developing cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Develop space plans and interior architectural layouts, ensuring compliance with District and industry standards.
- Assist in the selection of furnishings, equipment, and finishes for school projects, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal.
- Review construction documents and conduct site visits to verify that interior designs align with project specifications.
- Ensure selected furniture and equipment meet public health, safety, accessibility, and sustainability requirements, including fire and life safety codes.
- Support planning meetings and site visits to assess project needs and progress.
- Assist in developing and implementing project schedules and overseeing installation of furniture and equipment.
- Communicate with manufacturers and vendors regarding custom product development and design solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain furniture and equipment provisioning records.
- Manage and update lists of furniture, equipment, manufacturers, and vendors used by the district.
- Consult with vendors on product specifications, finishes, and pricing to ensure project compliance and quality.
- Coordinate product specifications and purchase orders with the District procurement office.
- Create interior drawings and visual aids for project presentations and approvals.
- Assist in furniture and equipment replacement at project sites as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
