Job Summary :
The Structural Engineer will provide technical expertise andguidance in structural design, evaluation, and construction for commercial,public, and educational facility projects. This role involves consulting with architects,engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with structuralstandards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide recommendations and technical guidance to commissioned architects and structural engineers.
- Offer direction and mentorship to junior staff within the Structural Engineering Unit.
- Review and evaluate plans and specifications submitted by consulting structural engineers.
- Develop provisions and structural recommendations for commissioned projects.
- Assist in planning and maintaining structural engineering guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of District structural engineering policies.
- Conduct investigations and generate reports on structural systems, components, and installations to advise contractors, architects, engineers, and construction inspectors.
- Assign structural materials testing and inspections to laboratories; review and analyze test reports.
- Assess soil test data and provide recommendations on structural foundations and related construction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
