What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Construction Superintendent position at Structura Construction?
Structura Construction is a high-end custom home builder in Summit and Wasatch counties, working on multi-million dollar projects. We focus on quality and attention to detail, not volume.
We are looking for an experienced superintendent who can manage multiple new construction or remodel projects at once.
Responsibilities include working with the project manager, and as a team accomplishing the following tasks:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and construction workers
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and task sequencing
- Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Conduct daily site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any design or construction issues
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and approving invoices
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (not required)
- Experience in construction
- Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in using computers and technology
