Since 1985, Structural Buildings of MN, Inc. has been helping customers across Minnesota and the surrounding five-state region turn their construction dreams into reality. We specialize in designing and constructing a wide range of building types, including post-frame, steel-frame, masonry, stud wall frame, SIP panel, and tilt-up concrete structures. This diversity allows us to offer tailored solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from conception to completion while working closely with engineers, architects, and clients. The successful candidate will focus on delivering high-quality projects that meet financial, scheduling, and safety requirements—ensuring that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to define project specifications and goals
- Prepare bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop accurate estimates and project budgets
- Generate approved estimates for contract creation with clients
- Oversee bid approval and subcontractor agreements
- Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations
- Coordinate and lead pre-construction meetings with customers and subcontractors
- Ensure timely delivery of project materials and resources to job sites
- Monitor and maintain project schedules and budgets, focusing on timely, cost-effective completion
- Review and approve subcontractor/vendor billings and track project costs weekly
- Identify and address any concerns with job superintendents, ensuring swift resolution of project issues
- Review and approve subcontractor change requests, working with clients to communicate any cost impacts and implement Change Orders where necessary
- Oversee project completion, ensuring punch list items are resolved and customer satisfaction is achieved
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the project to ensure a seamless experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated construction project management experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology use (cell phones, computers)
- Detail-oriented, motivated, and self-driven with a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work closely with clients and represent Structural Buildings professionally
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction products and best practices

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
