Job Description
- Participate in the overall accuracy of the organization's inventory control program (WMS) by means of cycle counting, reporting and physical investigations.
- Maintain and control inventory stock counting and accuracy checks.
- Minimize overstock and removal of obsolete inventory to maximize availability of working capital.
- Ensure that consumable goods receiving and stock control is well organized and controlled with accurate scanning, material movement and rotation.
- Ensure incoming consumable goods are receipted and controlled appropriately according to company procedure.
- Ensure materials are ready and available for production and shipment when required.
- Ensure that materials that are late missing, or holding up any department for whatever reason are tracked and proper communication to the appropriate department is made.
- Provide routine information on inventory rotation and levels to proper department.
- Monitor and evaluate storage and material rotation to ensure the quality of the consumable product.
- Audit and inspect processes and systems to reduce inventory errors, minimize costs and maximize working capital.
- Vizio utilized to map out new areas working in conjunction with the warehouse staff.
- Tracking and reporting of issues related to WMS and scanning.
- Ensure the categorization and cataloging of all consumable goods stocked for easy identification and accurate tracking.
- Audit inventory tarps and organization.
- Participate in month end cycle counts.
- Perform cycle stock checks.
- In and out of shop locations
- Check and adjust inventory locations.
- Maintain other additional records as assigned.
- WHIP Around - adding staff for lift pre-shift inspections. Investigations of scanning issues and inspection issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Vizio, Outlook and use a mobile device for tracking inventory.
