Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at Structural Concepts Corp. in Norton Shores, MI. In this role, you will be integral to our operations by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials within our facility, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional food display solutions.
Purpose of the job
Supply parts, materials, assemblies, and kits to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Receive materials and prepare materials for shipping.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Move materials between manufacturing work centers and storage locations utilizing had carts and/or a variety of powered conveyance equipment.
- Unload materials from trucks and deliver them to work centers and/or inventory storage locations.
- Complete inventory transactions in ERP system using scan guns and keyboard data entry.
- Accurately complete cycle counts.
- Prepare finished goods for shipping. May include packing and/or crating.
- Operate Box truck to move materials and products between manufacturing sites.
- Safety: Comes to work fit and healthy, work safely, look out of the safety of others, eliminate and report hazards, use protective equipment, and report incidents immediately.
- Dependability: Arrives to work at the scheduled time every day and finishes scheduled shift.
- Quality of Work: Produces quality work the first time attending to the details.
- Productivity: Productive with time and works quickly with a sense of purpose.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knows the job and has the skills needed to produce quality work quickly. Seeks out cross training and the opportunity to learn new skills.
- Teamwork: Quick to lend a hand, teach others, and improve our work methods.
- Housekeeping: Keeps work area clean and organized. Keeps tools and equipment clean and in good working condition.

Essential Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and understand work standards.
- Able to acquire a powered conveyance vehicle license.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Prepare finished goods for shipping. May include packing and/or crating.
- Valid Chauffer’s License
Optional Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age or older.
- CDL A
- 6-12 months of CDL A truck driving experience preferred
