Purpose of the Job
Grow revenue and margin for assigned products. Support selling efforts with a compelling onboarding experience for customers and dealers. Provide leadership to NPD projects.
Gather competitive data from field research, channel feedback and market research.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop and drive product plans and strategies. Provide leadership to new product development projects ensuring alignment with Company’s strategic direction and internal stakeholder expectations. Ensure stage-gate discipline and effective internal communication.
- Analyze and report on product line sales and margin performance. Benchmark competitive products and share insights with internal stakeholders.
- Develop forward-looking forecasts to inform annual sales plan. Facilitate and guide forecasting activities to connect the sales pipeline to the forecast.
- Gather and document competitive insights on product, positioning, and pricing. Recommend market-based pricing strategies to capture the value created for all parts of the value chain.
- Collaborate with peers in Engineering and Purchasing on NPD and margin enhancement projects.
- Support strategic sales opportunities by developing a deep knowledge of market segments, channel dynamics, and product offerings.
- Review warranty information and customer feedback to prioritize and drive product line maintenance projects.
- Define product sales support and training requirements to support direct selling efforts and our channel partners including reps, dealers, and consultants.
- Responsible for the financial health of product line including accountability for year-over-year margin growth.
- Manage product life cycle from discovery through launch, growth, maturity, decline, and obsolescence.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of product management best practices and processes, typically gained through 5 years of experience in engineering or product support role.
- Deep financial acumen and understanding of capital budgeting.
- Excellent project manager with demonstrated ability to manage multiple major projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent presenter and written/oral communicator.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Tech and database savvy.
Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
