Job Title: Construction Superintendent - Concrete Repair Specialist
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Structural Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of concrete repair and maintenance projects across various commercial and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level management to field leaders, foremen, and open-shop crews
- Participate in pre-project and pre-task planning activities
- Motivate team members to work together to accomplish tasks
- Ensure crews operate tools and equipment safely and productively
- Provide training and assistance to crews
- Assist project managers in evaluating production rates
- Complete essential paperwork accurately
- Interview and hire new field employees
- Lead our Company's Safety 24/7 culture
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in general construction, with at least 5 years in a foreman or assistant superintendent role
- Prior experience in general repair type projects, including concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, and facade restoration
- Proven ability to supervise various levels of field managers and crews
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications
- Established dedication to safety and adherence to our Company's operating principles
- Proven experience producing look-ahead schedules and working with construction documents
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, crews, and project teams
