Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the workflow within their department, ensuring efficient task allocation, providing support to staff, monitoring performance outcomes, and reporting to senior management. They play a vital role in optimizing departmental efficiency by assessing and refining processes, setting team targets, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan workloads, allocate tasks, and monitor team progress to ensure targets are met.
Training and developing new team members.
Communicate new initiatives, updates to targets, and relevant company news to the team.
Uphold quality standards, ensuring all products meet company specifications.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Maintain safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure staff receive first aid and fire safety training.
Collaborate with senior management to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity within the team.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered sufficient.
Strong leadership skills with a preferred background in wood products or a similar trade.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
Basic understanding of computers and software applications.

Work Environment:
The production environment involves exposure to dust, vibration, and machinery noise. The open-floor production area is not climate controlled and can become extremely cold in winter and hot in summer. Outdoor work requires exposure to all weather conditions year-round.
Physical Demands:
The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, stretching, twisting, climbing, crawling, pushing, and pulling. Employees must have the ability to regularly move objects between 15-50 lbs. and occasionally lift objects over 50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with several shift options available, including 1st and 2nd shift.
