Structural Materials Inc. is a local concrete and construction related supply company. We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our Grand Forks warehouse team. The position available is seasonal, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm with the potential to stay on year-round. This position’s main role will be to pick and pack pallets for customer orders. As well as loading and unloading deliveries and manage and rotate inventory within the warehouse. A big part of these jobs will be driving forklift within our warehouse and around the yard. All warehouse staff share the responsibilities of managing Will-Call customers. Directly interacting with customers, picking their orders, and ultimately loading the product. Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment that will require good organization, strong communication and a team-based mentality. Every employee is expected to help every other employee regardless of position. We all work together to get the job done.
Job duties:
- Reading packing slips
- Filling orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Organizing warehouse shelves and yard
- Assisting Customers
- Preparing pallets for transport
- Driving forklift
- Checking in shipments
- General warehouse maintenance
- Assisting all teammates
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Warehouse experience or similar of 2 years preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Open weekday availability, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm.
- Availability to work flexible hours (potential overtime), including the ability to work Saturdays on a scheduled rotation.
- Physically able to lift up to 80lbs.
- Physically able to walk or stand for 2hrs or more at a time.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, detail orientated environment
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Valid Driver’s licens
