Job Description

SS&PF is a locally owned business founded in 1976 and located North Salt Lake, Utah. Our plant consists of 18 acres and includes 100,000 square feet of production area. With nearly 100 teammates, we fabricate both simple and complex projects for the western US industrial market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance department with all needs.
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Carry out minor installations and general upkeep of facilities.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Respond to maintenance requests from employees or management.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.

Work Environment:

• May require working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Use of protective equipment (gloves, safety goggles, etc.) may be necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $25.00/hr
• $500 sign on bonus after 90 days.
• Paid time off and holiday pay.
• 401K savings plan with discretionary company profit sharing (5-year historical average for profit sharing contributions is 3%)
• University of Utah Healthcare Insurance Plan, with SS&PF paying 70% and employee paying 30% of premiums
• Dental and vision insurance are both available, but not provided
• 4 x 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday plus 1 x 8-hour shift on Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
