Duties And Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all makes and models. Includes liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems.
- Follow company safety guidelines, to properly block up equipment to disassemble as needed and be able to remove components for repair then reinstall.
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance services outlined on company and construction vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns and document.
- Record maintenance and repair work completed, process paperwork after the completion of each job and turn paperwork in, in a timely manner.
- Manage your time and work schedule.
- Cultivate and maintain customer service skills and maintain a professional image.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition; complete vehicle checklist as required.
- Maintain and keep company tools and inventory secure and organized on company truck.
- Maintain a culture of safety and participate in all safety and company required meetings.
- 2 years mechanic experience - Auto mechanic experience beneficial and applicable to a general mechanic.
- Good Mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, internal combustion engines, and hydraulic systems.
- Good skills in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
- Flexible, adaptable and can work in an environment that requires frequent shifts in direction.
- Enjoys working independently.
- Mechanical or trade school certificate, beneficial
- Good physical condition and able to stand, twist, walk, pull, lift and bend frequently.
- Ability to, lift up to, 75 pounds.
- Able to drive daily.
