Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in the Chicagoland office. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating complex self-performed construction projects that enhance and protect existing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed estimates by calculating quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment costs.
- Defining and quantifying scope of work, and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects.
- Reviewing and researching historical data to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (desired but not required).
- 3-12 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in a related industry involving concrete repair projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to estimate projects of moderate complexity up to $10 million.
- Prior experience estimating up to 5 direct projects and up to 5 indirect estimates as a mentor.
- Strong understanding of the Chicagoland/Upper Midwest Industrial construction market, including current market prices and clients.
- Proficiency in construction math and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and/or construction estimating software.
